The name Dow has been synonymous with the best port from the vineyards of the Alto Douro Valley for more than two centuries.  Throughout the 20th and early 21st century, the Symington family has continued to build on the legacy of its predecessors, the Silva and Dow families.

Several generations of Symington winemakers have worked Dow's vineyards, Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, where its ports originate. Dow's wonderfully concentrated wines are intense and tannic in their youth, maturing towards superlative elegance, fragrant with violet and mint aromas.  Dow's attractive and characteristically drier finish is the unmistakable signature of this formidable port winery.
